The 2026 season is now closed to new entries. The International Final & Showcase will be held on 7th July 2026 in London, and we warmly welcome everyone to join as part of the public audience.
You can now register for the 2027 competition season. The 2027 theme will be officially announced at the July 2026 Final.

Eligibility & Prerequisites
1. STEM Star Certificate Requirement
Every participant in the BIEA International STEM Youth Innovation Competition must hold a valid BIEA STEM Star Certificate to take part.
STEM Star Project Registration
Participants without a BIEA STEM Star Certificate must register and complete a BIEA STEM Star Project (£25 per certificate).

Validity
Once obtained, a BIEA STEM Star Certificate is valid for 3 years. After this period, a new STEM Star Project must be completed to qualify for future competitions.
UK Teams
UK participants are currently exempt from the STEM Star fee. Please contact: bursary@biea.org.uk for verification.
